This exhibition marks the 30th anniversary of Women & Their Work, originally an artist-run gallery established to support women artists in 1978. Seminal works were featured, such as Emily Jacir’s ‘Where We Come From’, Judi Werthein’s ‘Brinco’, Andrea Geyer’s ‘The Queen of The Artists' Studios, Audrey Munson’, Kristin Lucas’s ‘Refresh’, and a newly commissioned protest song 'We need a theory to continue' written by Tevere & Nevarez in collaboration with three Austin bands. Each of the projects here ask how artists can have agency in the world.
